Description:
One of the neatest of all the Waratahs, Corroboree also produces prolific quantities of large rounded deep red, pink-tipped blooms throughout spring. Corroboree is versatile in the landscape; use as a single specimen, for formal hedging, in large containers or as a transitional plant on fernery or rainforest margins. Extremely popular, very long lasting cut flower. Wherever it’s planted there will be constant visits from a range of honey-eating birds, as nectar flow is strong. Grows well in cool temperate to sub tropical climates, in full sun or partial shade and in moist but well drained clay loams, neutral to low acid pH. Prune off spent flowers to retain a dense habit. Frost tolerant and will handle sea breezes in second-line coastal gardens.
