Product Description
Capsicum pubescens (Rocoto chilli/Hotlip chilli) is found primarily in Bolivia and Peru where it likely originated as well as Mexico and Central America. The fruit matures from green to red and ranges in heat from medium hot to very hot depending on the weather. The plant produce abundant fruits for more than 10 years.
It is black seeded fruit with moderate sharpness of about 50,000 to 250,000 SHU (VERY HOT) on the Scoville scale.
Mature plants can tolerate mild frost.
Depending on the season, plants may be larger or smaller than pictured.
