Description:
Dietes grandiflora is an evergreen perennial plant native to South Africa. It is highly valued for its graceful, sword-shaped foliage and stunning flowers. The plant forms clumps of narrow, upright leaves that can reach a height of 120cm. In summer, it produces large, showy flowers on tall stalks. The flowers are white with yellow and violet markings, creating a striking contrast against the dark green foliage. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and is tolerant of various soil conditions. It is a popular choice for borders, mass plantings, or as a focal point in the garden. Very similar to Dietes iridoides, but with larger flowers. Mass plant for a showy display, use dotted throughout borders or as a low, informal hedge. Grows to approx. 60-120cm H x 60-90cm W.
